I Painted Some Lumineth Realm-Lords

Let's get to the point, shall we?

These are Myari's Purifiers from the Warhammer Underworlds: Direchasm core set. My hobby new year's resolution for 2021 is to paint up every war band from Direchasm. So far, I have this one.

These guys were meant to be a test for the color scheme of my Age of Sigmar Lumineth army, and I'm generally pleased with them, though I think I'm going to do the gloves and boots a light brown instead of red. That was really an homage to Rick Priestly's High Elves from the '90s that one would see in the Warhammer Fantasy 5th Edition Battles Book, or the 1994 Warhammer Armies Painting Guide. Except for the eyes, and the rim of the bases, I wanted to avoid using any black on these figures. They're supposed to be from the realm of light, after all. I also don't paint hardly any yellow, so thought I'd give it a shot, and I'm pleased to say that with Contrast paints, it's way easier than it's ever been.

That's it for this week. I'm still swimming through the morass of school, and so really only get a chance to paint one or two nights a week. This is also an example of regular content for this blog, as not everything's going to be a think piece on game design, or a review of an RPG or something (though I did manage to get my hands on Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft, so that might emerge from the mists soon).
